Hocker Lane runs south-east as a permissive footpath between Bradford Lane and the junction with Slade Lane at Shawcross. From this point it runs east to the crossroads with Birtles Lane. Although the lane is not mentioned by name in The Weirdstone of Brisingamen<\/a><\/em> or The Moon of Gomrath<\/a><\/em>, it is made explicit several times in Boneland<\/a><\/em> that the Mossock’s holding at Highmost Redmanhey<\/a> lies on Hocker Lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Weirdstone<\/em>, several scenes take place on Hocker Lane. These include the final stage of the journey between Wilmslow and Highmost Redmanhey<\/a> (Weirdstone, Chapter 1, Highmost Redmanhey<\/em>) and the fugitives attempt to evade the morthbrood between the farm and the Wood of Radnor<\/a> (Weirdstone, Chapter 16, The Wood of Radnor<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
